Palmetto en Pointe Performing Arts

Aubrey was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and has been dancing since she was two years old. She has studied all types of dance over the years (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop) and had the opportunity to learn from some of Spartanburg's best teachers.  Aubrey was a 3-year letterman, and was the recipient of several other awards as a member of her school dance team, The Dorman High School Blue Belles. Aubrey was an "All-American" award recipient from UDA for three years. She was a member of the Competition Team and has competed in and won various local, regional and national competitions. She was the Captain of the Blue Belles her senior year responsible for choreographing and teaching her team, as well as hundreds of girls in Spartanburg County at Mini Camp held each summer.  She has also had the opportunity to choreograph for the Miss Dorman Pageant, and for the Gray Belles (Faculty Dance Team).

Aubrey continued to study dance at the University of South Carolina in Columbia while getting a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish. Aubrey studied the piano as well as art and the flute. She believes that all of the Arts are an important part of childhood, education, growth, society, and life in general. Encouraging children's imaginations to soar is an honor she doesn't take for granted.  Aubrey has always had a passion to lead and to teach and she has had the opportunity to work with children and youth in many different arenas over the years. She volunteered with Upward Cheerleading for several seasons, choreographing and coaching young girls, and spent 9 years as the Choreographer for a touring youth choir of 100+ high school students that travel around the country singing and dancing while sharing a message of hope. Aubrey has also had the opportunity to share her choreography skills by leading workshops for choir directors from across the country. Aubrey and her husband Michael enjoy teaching waltz lessons in their spare time. She enjoys spending time with kids of all ages and volunteers in several ministries at her church and in the community.

Aubrey believes that continuing education for dance instructors is crucial. She has attended various regional and national conventions to take classes from well known dancers, choreographers and teachers. Aubrey and Ashleigh have traveled to New York City to study under a team of teachers, choreographers and studio owners from across the country. Our PEPPA philosophy is that there is always something to be learned no matter how old you are!

The love of dance and the study of the art of dance has been an important part of Aubrey's life. Her passion is to share that love and knowledge of Dance and the Arts with each and every child! Aubrey loves to spend her time (when she's not dancing) at football games, shopping especially for shoes, and hanging out with her friends and family!

Aubrey was on the founding board of High Point Academy where following her term on the board, she taught for elementary dance for four years.

Aubrey lives in Roebuck with her husband Michael, their daughter, McKinley Lynne who dances at the studio, and their son Walker as well as their two puppies Mason and Lexie Belle.
