    CAMP ASSISTANT

Marie was born in Appleton, Wisconsin and moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina when she was 3 years old.  A year after she moved here, she started to dance at a studio in Spartanburg.  She knew she loved to dance from a young age and began to pursue her dreams.  She has danced competitively for 8 years and has attended many competitions and conventions. Marie has competed regionally and nationally across the state. She has had the opportunity to learn from many professional choreographers and has taken various master classes.

Marie studied throughout her Jr. High and High School years with us at Palmetto En Pointe. She continues to study ballet, jazz, contemporary, pointe, tap, tumbling and hiphop.  Marie travels many weekends out of the year as well as during the summer to study under amazing choreographers, teachers and professional dancers at Conventions all across the southeast. When she is not in the classroom herself, she is assistant teaching in other classes and camps throughout the year.

Marie graduated from JL Mann High School, and went on to study dance at Winthrop University. She is now continuing her collegiate study at the University of South Carolina, Columbia.

Marie has always had a passion for young children and wants to impact them in the most positive way. Marie wants to be able to share her love for dance with each and every child. When she’s not dancing, Marie likes to hang out with her friends and go shopping! Her passion for dance is something no one could ever take away from her she is excited to continue to share that passion with students here at Palmetto En Pointe.
